SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2011 - DEMI IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!!!

When I first heard Demi’s single Skyscraper, I was blown away by the truth it told and how the beauty of the song really found a way to resonate with anyone who knows what it’s like to be knocked down by life. Keeping in mind Demi’s recent rehab for self-mutilation, the song is all the more meaningful. Skyscraper is completely different from what we know of Demi and naturally, it sparked my curiosity for her new album UNBROKEN which was released today and features the Skyscraper single.   

I waited up until midnight last night to preview the album and after my 90 second preview of the first three songs (All Night Long ft. Missy Elliot and Timbaland / Who’s That Boy ft. Dev / and Together ft. Jay Sean) I was sold and bought her album. 

It’s like Demi shed her past right in front of us and is exposing her true self through this album. Her vocals are impeccable and the music, a mix of pop/r&b, suits her much better. Finally, she is shying away from the Disney Princess image. I have no doubt that we will see great things from Demi and that she will triumph over the seriously untalented Joe Jonas and over-edited Selena Gomez.
